Release Highlight – Related Items
With the 8.1.2 release, we are delivering improvements and bug fixes. A key highlight is the new "Related Items" view, which provides a clear overview of the overall progress and all dependencies of an item. In addition, various usability enhancements have been implemented and important security vulnerabilities have been resolved.
Please remember to clear your browser cache after the upgrade to ensure all changes load correctly.
1. "Related Items" in the Item View!
The new "Related Items" view within the item detail page provides a clear overview of all linked and subordinate items. This allows users to see the overall progress and dependencies of an item at a glance – without having to switch between individual items or workspaces.
Instead of manually checking each linked item and its sub-items, a consolidated view ("Related Items") is now available. It shows aggregated information such as progress, status, and, if applicable, the target release of all related items. Optionally, additional columns or metrics like remaining work can be displayed.
This feature saves time and reduces complexity in requirements and project management. Stakeholders and developers gain instant insight into the implementation status of a feature without needing to navigate deeply into different workspaces or items. This supports faster, data-driven decisions in prioritization, planning, and communication with customers.
To use this view, please enable the following setting in the server administration under advanced options for all Allegra users:
