Allegra 9.0 — Major Platform Update

Allegra 9.0 is a major release focused on improved administration, performance, and security. The administration interface has been completely redesigned for significantly more efficient configuration. At the same time, numerous optimizations deliver shorter load times and a noticeably faster user experience. In addition, the security of the entire platform has been further strengthened.

Highlights

• New administration interface — The admin area has been completely restructured with a new tree navigation, consistent page titles and subtitles, and reorganized sections for Security, Authentication (OpenID providers), Email, Integrations, and Server Configuration.
• Microsoft Single Sign-On for Service Desk — SSO is now available for the Service Desk application.
• Wiki guest read access — Guest users can now access Wiki documents in read mode.
• Share and revoke shared links — Items can now be shared via link, and shared links can be revoked at any time.
• Dedicated Anonymous user level — A new dedicated user level for anonymous access has been introduced, replacing the legacy guest-based approach.
• Comprehensive security hardening — As part of our ongoing security efforts, numerous improvements have been implemented across the entire application.
• Java 21 and Spring Boot foundation — Allegra now runs on Java 21 with Spring Boot as the application framework, replacing the legacy Tomcat/Struts stack. This brings improved performance, better monitoring capabilities, and long-term maintainability.
